On Victory Road, trains with foodstuffs and ammunition arrived in Leningrad, and children, women, and wounded were taken back. Today blockade veterans and railway workers laid flowers to the very first steam locomotive Em 721-81, which has now become a monument. For a record 17 days, 33 kilometers of tracks were built. The message on them worked a little over a year. Among the drivers, the road was named "Corridor of death."
