In the annual solemn action "At the turn of immortality" about 500 people will take part - veterans, residents and workers of besieged Leningrad, as well as representatives of public and youth organizations, representatives of the governments of the Leningrad Region and St. Petersburg.
The action will begin on the Murmansk highway, where on January 18, 1943 during a successful operation "Iskra " met the troops of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts. The participants of the action will go to the Nevsky Piglet to the Rubizhny Stone, to honor the memory of the dead by a minute of silence and to lay flowers. Also there will be a rally, where veterans will speak and the military will march in a solemn march. Songs of the war years will be performed by creative teams of the Kirov region.
