November 24 in the New Exhibition Hall of the Museum of Urban Sculpture on Nevsky Prospect, 179, an exhibition opens "Dedication to the City of courage and glory." “The exhibition provides an opportunity to realize the specific participation of each of Leningrad artists, museum staff in the life of the besieged city, those who, with their possible contribution - work and creativity, with great responsibility doing their duty, brought the Victory closer, preserving the greatness and beauty of the city”, - told in the press service of the museum.
Guests of the exhibition will get acquainted with archival documents, photographs, works of graphics and sculpture from the funds of the Museum of Urban Sculpture. A whole section of the exposition will be devoted to the history of campaign sculptural posters, which made an important contribution to the defense of the city and served as a powerful means of patriotic campaigning. The exhibition will feature works by Leningrad sculptors and wartime artists: V.I. Mukhina, P.N. Shurigi, V.Ya. Bogolyubova, V.V. Isaeva, V.M. Sudakova, O.K. Arshakuni and other authors. You can also see the work of graphic artists S.M. Steinberg and V.F. Matyuh.
