The blockade substation on Fontanka is now listed in the register of regional monuments

The blockade substation No. 11 on Fontanka became a protected object ̶ the order was published on the Smolny website on April 18. The whole building of the substation, except for post-war extensions, became a monument.

The building of the Central substation was built in the early 30s of the last century, and in 1942 it was from here that the current was given to the first blockade trams. The anniversary of the launch of the besieged tram was celebrated on April 15th.
